Panamanian forward Tomás Rodríguez has arrived in San José, Costa Rica, to join the training sessions of his new team, Deportivo Saprissa. The 26-year-old Rodríguez joins the purple team on a one-year loan and will be ready for the start of the Costa Rican league, which kicks off on Wednesday, January 13. "I'm very happy to be in Costa Rica, it's a new experience for me, a new adventure. I come from Venezuela where things went well for me, and I hope, with God's favor, to score many goals here," highlighted Tomás Rodríguez. The attacker added that he is happy to have his compatriots Fidel Escobar and Newton Williams as teammates. "It will be a great help to play with Fidel, and I played with Newton in Panama. I know I'm coming to a big club and I will try to do things in the best way. Saprissa always fights in finals and it's been a long time since I've played in one."
